Does anyone know what happened to Doug (the owner) ? He was my mechanic for years, then all of a sudden last May he just vanished….
@Kimberly – I’d heard that he had passed away, but was never able to find an obituary
That would make such a cool restaurant!
Since Anderson’s Neck didn’t get the Nolde bus garage, maybe they could go with this?? *fingers crossed!*
Aw, man. That’s sad. He was a good guy.

Awww thanks for posting the obituary. He was a great mechanic. I used to live right across from Capt. Buzzy’s so it was great to drop my car and walk home!
Now that I’m mechanic-less…. any recommendations? We live at 34th and Q now… Thanks folks!

Go with Precision Auto Tune in Willow Lawn. Speak with Doug, the manager, tell him Heather recommended you. As a single parent with a single income…Doug has been WONDERFUL & well priced the last few years!
@5 alternatively Lotsey and Hardy right down at Gov’t and Wmbg Roads. Sherman runs it. They stay busy all the time, though. Will give you a ride home back up here and come get you when your car is ready.
Hmmmm….Brewery?
Had no idea Doug had passed away. He was a great guy and excellent mechanic.
Please not another brewery …
Where did they relocate to?
Lotsey & Hardy have been around for generations and always work on our vehicles. Sherman is an honest person who charges fair prices and often does small things for free. He stays busy but has no Saturday hours but do have dropoff. They are the usual go-to mechanics for Church Hill and located at the corner of Government and Williamsburg Roads. Phone: 222-4404 and say Jim & Eric set you.
Developer’s acquisition streak moves toward Church Hill

John, you know how excited I am for this; however, I beg everyone, including Bon Secours, to help me advocate to get that LAMAR board taken down once and for all. It sits in the gateway to north CH and Union and all it does is advertise crap food to our diabetic community and an exxon we pass every.single.day. And, it’ll give the owners more room when the brewery moves in. YIKES.
DID YOU SAY BREWERY. REV DWIGHT JONES HAS GOT SOME CASH FOR YOU.UNLESS YOU’RE LOCALLY OWNED.
