Hey folks,
With the keys officially handed over to the new crew, this is my 11,571st and last post here. Booyah!
It’s been a great experience getting to know the East End so well over the past decade plus. I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to document and play a part in what has gone on in the community in that time.
Thank you all for embracing CHPN and making this the best little online space in RVA along the way.
As always, if you want to help out or have stories, tips, questions, or ideas – drop a line to chpnrva@gmail.com.

John, you are a total inspiration to me personally and to many in the community. Just the sheer volume, dedication and the pulse you have on the East End is something I’ll work very hard in continuing. You rock man.
Grateful for you, John!
We’ll miss your voice on here, and appreciate what you’ve built, and how it’s connected neighbors from all over CH.
John,
Thank you for outstanding work and your service to the East End. You will be missed.
John, on behalf of Armstrong High School, we thank you for all you have done to promote the positive things our staff and students are doing. Your support will greatly be missed.

John, I always looked forward to my Tuesday morning CHPN email. You did so much to keep us up to date on what was happening on the Hill. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Thanks too for helping us to grow the Church Hill Yard Sales by spreading the word. Marry Christmas and Happy and Healthy 2018 to you and yours.
Thanks John!!
Will miss you, John. :'( Thanks for creating the page and sharing so many interesting things! Merry Christmas and wishing you much success next year and beyond!

…and thanks to you.
Thank you
Remember that time when that lady almost drove over me in front of Bellevue Elementary and I tapped her car with a banana and she got so mad and then I told you and you had your friend draw a cartoon and publish it on here? Those were the good ol’ days.
End of an era!
Well, old man… we didn’t always see eye-to-eye on everything over the many years but what you have accomplished here has been a phenomenal juggling act that has been both appreciated and benefited many Church Hill residents. You say your “last” post but hopefully, we will at least see you chime in from time to time on various threads.
Happy Holidays!
Thank you for your dedication to the neighborhood! We are going to miss you John!!
Congrats John, and thanks for all you have done!
Thank you John for creating and operating the best neighborhood news blog. You will be greatly missed!
JohnYou’ve blessed Churchill in so many ways!
Thank you John. You are a truly generous, thoughtful and inspirational dude. Thanks for all your hard work and love.
What you have given to all of us has been a great gift. The gift of connection, dialogue, history, laughter and entertainment. And CHPN has been a forum and catalyst for many great things. Someday we will build a statue of you in one of these roundabouts or something. ?
Thanks man!
John, thanks for all you’ve done for this community. The East End wouldn’t be the same without you!
Wow, John, thank you for tying us all together by bringing us the true news. I can’t tell you how many conversations have been sparked in the neighborhood by your posts in CHPN. All the best to you, see you around!
Many thanks for your positive influence towards progress in the east end. However, I truly hope that this outlet will be more representative of the neighborhood and more content filled in it’s journalistic coverage in the future.
John thank you so much for all that you have done in our community. You and CHPN have been an important glue to connect different parts and perspectives of our neighborhood. Thanks especially for your attention towards school-related news, and for your previous service to our public school system.
John, You have done a wonderful job. Thanks.
Looking forward to your occasional posts as “Editor Emeritus.”
Good luck John! You should run for mayor next!
Thank you for your hard work!
Thanks, John for all you have done to get the word out. The posting of Greater Fulton activities has been especially helpful to our community. A nice touch was adding a picture of our Neighborhood Resource Center to our bi-monthly meeting announcement. We wish the best to your and your family!
