Heating-assistance program available

Richmond-area residents who live in the Richmond Department of Public Utilities service area may apply for help with heating bills if needed. To qualify for the MetroCare heating-bill assistance program, residents must demonstrate a special need or hardship. Apply at the East District Family Resource Center at 2405 Jefferson Ave., or call 644-4496.
