City cracks down on abandoned vehicles
05/20/2005 7:26 AM by John M
The Richmond Voice has an article in their May 18th issue detailing the city’s new new ordinance making it a class 1 misdemeanor to leave an abandoned/inoperable vehicle on public property. Somehow, this had previously been legal. On the front page is a photo of 2 long-abandoned cars on the triangle at Carrington and 22nd Streets.
TAGGED: crime
They were always suppose give NOV for unlicensed cars left on public streets/property. They just weren’t enforcing but happy they are doing it now. They need to come through Battery Park.
Perhaps the recent case of the three boys who suffocated in the car of an trunk in Camden, NJ, will make everybody more aware of how potentially fatal these abandoned cars are.
