13-year-old MLK student shot on Southside

Dyquan D. Gibson, a 13-year-old sixth-grader at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School, was shot and killed early Friday morning.
The school zones cross neighborhood boundaries, expanding the city for the students that attend. Located just behind Union Hill, MLK draws from all of the East End and a smaller part of Southside. All of the 13-year-olds that you might see out and about are starting off the school year knowing that one of their own won’t be coming back with them.
A vigil in Gibson’s memory has been scheduled for tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the 2300 block of Afton Avenue.
I knew this boy..He was so sweet, sexy,greedy and had a bg booty. He departed from my life on september 3. It was very shock to see a very closefriend one week and and a few weeks later hes dead…Day-Day we will always miss you………(crys)
