The destruction of this compound of a house, sitting on a notorious and active intersection, marks a highpoint in the renovation of this embattled area. These blocks of 24th and R Streets have seen the construction of new houses by Better Housing Coalition and other recent demolition, yet still cary a strong legacy of drug dealing and violence.
