TAGGED: crime
Very sad- all are 18-19 year olds who killed someone for shoes and a minivan.
Don’t think that this is the first time some of these guys had run-ins with the law. I think it’s more sad that society breeds people with such a disregard for human life that they think its okay to kill someone over something like that……or at all.
I agree, its quite possible that they saw 50 cents “Get Rich or die Tryin” movie shortly before the crime….
Haven’t see it, GP, but it’s not my style of movie. Maybe when it comes out on NetFlix……. But it sounds like the kind of movie that would produce a response like that. If you remember the movie “Heat” we had a rash of those bank robberies like that. To include one in Richmond.
nbc12 is reporting that a vigil is being held to remember Haashim Hines (reported as Haship Abdul earlier?). The report doesn’t say when/where the vigil will be held…
Vigil info and video.
Come on, folks! If watching a violent movie leads to violence, perhaps we’d best be prepared to see some gay cowboys around town soon.
Anne:
I wish I could agree with you, but some people (particularly disenfranchised youths) are more impressionable than others. They’ll make a hero out of criminal, and they’ll ape that criminal’s behavior because it’s the only remotely acheivable image of a “successful” role model they’ve been given.
man, y’all dont know y they did that 4… y’all always blamin’ movies, games, or the tv. People do stuff cause they choose 2 do it man. I knew a couple of them dudes… keep yall head up drako n dlo
I DON’T APPRECIATE YALL DOWNING MY BROTHA(DEANDRE GAY) IT REALLY DON’T MATTER WHAT YALL PEOPLE SAY CUZ HE GOT FOUND NOT GUILTY N E WAY BUT IN THE MEANTIME FUCK ALL YALL DOWN LOOKERS THAT DON’GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THE YOUNG BLACK COMMUNITY
Why does everyone wanna be a gangsta? All it leads to is sorrow and retribution. Being “cool” – and in the end all just comes down to nothing. I weep for the mommas who have lost their babies, for the children who have lost their daddys, and the wanna-be’s who just keep the cycle going.
You know its sad that SOME of our young black people are so ignorant…but what goes around comes around and in the end all those who were involved in the shooting death of Haashim(may allah bless him)will get theirs…and for Ms.Tarmisha aint no need to have no hard feelings your brother was wrong!!!!!
Peace. This is Haashims wife. Some things we wont understand but from Allah we come and unto Him we shall return. As much as it hurt to wait for my husband to come and instead have detectives knock on my door; it was a test and it was Haashims time. What can I say. But for those of yall that dont know him; he was a very very good person. Not just because he was my husband. He was genuinely good, patient, beautiful all around. I ask Allah to not ever allow me to forget what he looks like, or any of the time that we spent together, and I hope he would be my husband in Heavan. In the meantime, children need to be raised with true role models so that we can have future generations who value others lives as well as their own. Who will be proud to be something other than statistics. Peace to Ms Sheila, Qamara and the rest of Haashims family. May Allah place us in Jannah together, ameen.
nasrah wasnt you in IDDAH when he died?
@salafiyyah. Are you serious? And your posting name is Salafiyyah? While there are so many things that I can say to your disguised question. I’ll say this(Though you really deserve no response).. Were there an Iddah I was the one who asked for it being young and not knowing how to accept something that was good while there were people in my business like you. Last but not least One of the last things that Haashim said to me before he died was ..”I want you stay my wife”. And to answer your question, No I wasnt in Iddah at the time ALlah took back what belonged to him. But here is a reflection of the type of people that were in my relationship. If I was one who didnt take responsibility for my faults Id blame people like you for not minding your own affairs and influencing me against my husband when his death was right around the corner and I didnt even know it. I learned my lesson. Such is Life. And what kind of respect do you have for Haashim by even attempting to post something tainted on the net about him?May Allah guide you, ameen. And may Allah inform you of fatawa regarding posting things with misleading anonymous usernames, ameen. And may Allah continue to protect me from people like you whom Allah warned against as do the Ulema, ameen.
@salafiyyah. here is a reminder…http://www.salafitalk.net/st/viewmessages.cfm?Forum=9&Topic=5498“We see over and over the harm of those who come in the garbs of salafiyyah with their deceitful manners and with the whisperings of the devils who repeatedly flout and ignore the advice of the mashaykh of this Ummah with regards to opposing the Sharee’ah rulings of hiding behind nicknames or kunyahs on websites is yet another trait and attribute of their deceitful methods.
So, know O Muslim, it is not from the way of the people of the People of Hadeeth to take from the one is unknown and unidentifiable.” and min Shaykh Al-Jabiree “..Verily I have reflected over what has taken place in the latest fitnah and the results and outcomes that have appeared amongst our youth and amongst our brothers who are holding to the manhaj of As-Salaf As-Saalih. I believe that the great amount of al-qeel wal-qaal (gossip) coming from those who do not have much knowledge or awareness of Allaah’s Deen, His Legislation, or what the Salaf were upon is a reason for the kindling of this fitnah and for the spreading of its flames, especially since the majority of these problems can be traced back to the Internet and what is said and written on it, from those whose description I have referred to.
And from the most important causes (of fitnah) is the act of hiding behind (false) names, titles, or kunyahs that hide the identity of a person…” The link is provided for you. Perhaps you will fear Allah and take this as a reminder. Regardless May Allah protect the Muslims from al-qeel wal-qal. And remover jealousy from their ranks, ameen.
Naam she was in IDDAH and she’s very much BIPOLAR and known for it ! I mean seriously what marriage wasn’t she in iddah? This woman is insane everyone knows it . And Haashim even said it to a few of the muslims he knew! … but we can’t blame her she gets it from her mentally ill mother..
Lol seriously
after reading what happen and everyone response. truth enough what happen should never went down, but at the end of the day them 3 young men have to deal with the guilt of this man gone over some shoes and a mini van. I believe it shows that Virginia need to truly buckle down on their crime rate
