01/16/2006 10:11 AM by John M
ACORN will be offering a workshop covering tips and techniques for the preparation and proper painting of historic interiors from 9am until noon on Saturday, January 28.
This workshop will be conducted by Brian Doherty, a local professional painter with more than 15 years of experience painting older homes. Mr. Doherty has contributed several articles to FINE HOMEBUILDING on the trade secrets of painting.
The workshop will be held at the site of a renovation in progress in Church Hill (305 North 21st Street).
For reservations or more information, contact ACORN at (804) 422-2148 or info@richmondneighborhoods.org
It will be $5 for A.C.O.R.N. members and $10 for all others.
This was very informative. I’m glad I went although I was sleep deprived. Keep info like this coming.
I’ve managed to save up money in my bank account, but I’m not sure if I should buy a house or not. Do you think the market is stable or do you think that home prices will decrease by a lot?
I think, and people who read this page know I’m not real estate guru, but I think the market has cooled a bit. The prices of the homes around me have come down some. Still, I think I got a great deal and I love the area. Church Hill IS the place to live in the city. But we do need some retail space that reflects the new residents. Any questions, please reply.
I’ve opened this up as a new post here.
