Moonshine bust on 24th Street
02/18/2006 6:25 PM by John M
Dozens of police raided a house on North 24th Street after the owner, Richard Davis, is accused of making and selling alcohol. Along with “a yard riddled with beer cans and bottles”, police discovered jars of moonshine inside. There was not enough moonshine to prove that it was being manufactured in the home, but there was enough to charge the homeowner with selling alcohol without a license. [via]
which block of 24th?!?
About a year ago i was cooking a pig in the back yard when a man approached me selling moonshine. I thought he was joking, but it looks like he was for real.
i was accosted by a group of people smoking some birdmeat on franklin around 25th. they had couches and whatnot right on the sidewalk. They were drunk–most likely hitting the shine. probably bought it from this dude. one was this tall guy with long hair.
