7th District Town Meeting, Tues 3/14
03/08/2006 3:25 PM by John M
Warm on the heels of January’s meeting, another 7th District Town Meeting has been announced.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 14th, @6:30pm, and will be hosted by Councilperson Delores L. McQuinn. The meeting will beheld at the Powhatan Recreation Center at 5051 North Hampton Street in Fulton.
Item on the agenda include the proposed stadium and community concerns.
Please RSVP to 646-3012 or pattersa@ci.richmond.va.us if you plan to attend.
Does anyone know if you get turned away at the door if you’ve not RSVP’d?
What exactly are “community concerns”?
I’ve sent an email directly to ‘pattersa’ asking if it is necessary to RSVP in order to attend the meeting.
‘pattersa’ says you can come to the meeting even if you don’t RSVP.
Anybody know anything about street cut protocols when the curb line is comprised of cobblestones? Just watched some fellows who live in the house on the alley between 22nd and Jessamine on Cedar pick up the cobblestones left by the contractor who made a street cut down closer to 22nd steet…and put them in their back yard. The sewer contractor did not replace the cobblestones, and I am guessing folks think they are fair game if they are not in the street. Whomever did that work today made the surrounding streets a mess.
To the person who saw the cobblestone pilfering – please contact the Department of Public Works as soon as possible – the contact info is available on http://www.richmondgov.com
Also, please call the police when you see this or any criminal activity. The police will come and hopefully be able to catch the wrongdooers.
