Sector Problem Solving Workshop for Sector 113 set for June 10
The Richmond Police Department will partner with Policing for Prevention to conduct a Sector Problem Solving Workshop for Sector 113. The worskshop will focus on “building essential problem solving collaborations between police, communities, and other city agencies”.
Sector 113 is the northern half of the First Precinct. This basically consists of everything in the area north of Carrington Street and Nine Mile Road – Fairmount, Creighton, Woodville, Fairfield, etc. (View a printable map of Sector 113.)
Every resident of Sector 113 is invited and encouraged to attend. The workshop wil be held at Martin Luther King Middle School at 1000 Mosby Street on Saturday, June 10, from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Food wil be provided!
Please contact Lt. Hamlet Hood at 646-0569 by Tuesday, May 30, if you plan to attend.
This will be a good opportunity for people to meet across exisiting divides. From what I’ve heard, this will be set up so that people won’t be able to clum together with their known neighbors, but will have to dialog with folks from another area in the sector.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend as a either a Fairmount resident nor as the intrepid half-assed pretend reporter. SO… If any Sector 113 resident want to go and report back that would be GREAT. OR… If someone from outside the sector would like to attend and report back, that can be arranged, too. Anyone?
