A funny thing happened yesterday: The police were called to the 3200 block of P Street for a Komodo Dragon in the road.

Yup, you heard that right. When the police arrived, they found a 4-foot-long iguana resting on a fence. At the arrival of the police, he got scared and ran up a tree. About 20 feet up that tree…

After 30 minutes or so of the police, animal control officers, and the fire department trying to figure out what to do, the iguana fell from his branch to a lower, more accessible branch. The animal control officer used the dog noose and a police officer used a pair of gloves and they were able to get the animal into the truck without further incident.

Animal control took him to some type of reptile rescue organization. Polkce are still looking for the owner.
