Malachi Albert Rasin, 86, Richmond’s first black health inspector, father to Citizens Against Crime founder Alicia Rasin, and resident of Princess Anne Avenue, died Saturday of natural causes. (obituary) [via]
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Malachi Rasin. How proud you must be of the legacy of your father. He truly made a difference with his life. I never knew Mr. Rasin, but if his daughter Alicia is any indication, he was an amazing person. Alicia through her work with the victims of violence has truly been a tribute to her father through her life’s actions. May your family find peace in the memories of Malachi Rasin, and may he continue to inspire you and all of us to work to make the world a better place. Rest in Peace Malachi Rasin.
