vote for Lucas Krost!
Church Hill resident Lucas Krost is one of six finalists in Current TV‘s Seeds of Tolerance international documentary film competition. Lucas is close to realizing his dream, and he needs our help as he vies for one of the top prizes with the compelling video One Nation Under Guard.
The winners will be chosen by popular online voting. The first prize is $100,000, which would fund his film projects for restorative justice, plus $15,000 to the charity of his choice, the Youth Life Foundation in Richmond’s Highland Park, which is featured in the video. Second and third place each get $10,000.
The RTD had a story on this last week, Film on prison system is movie-contest finalist (11/11/06). Krost’s own official website is located at Justice Films.
TAGGED: Lucas Krost
please watch the film & vote. hopefully, the CHPN readers who watch the film will also respond accordingly to Krost’s powerful message and call-to-action.
One of the competing videos “Ghost Tribes” is really worth watching too, even if you don’t vote for it. It’s about the “paper genocide” of Virginia Indians and how none are officially recognized by the government.
Be an informed voter by watching all the videos. I’m still undecided on which is my favorite–I like the last one a lot.
Lucas Krost’s movie won. Congratulations Lucas! I can’t wait to see more.
