From the article in the RTD:

Authorities said that on March 23 last year Lewis, codefendant Jason Mantell Junious, 22, and an unidentified juvenile codefendant were driving around looking for someone to rob. Near the corner of 23rd and T streets they spotted Elaine Bowen, 55, at around 2 a.m.

They took her to be a prostitute and decided to rob her.

Instead, after the car was parked, Lewis got out with his shotgun and immediately shot Bowen in the back, authorities said. He shot her again after she fell to the ground.

Bowen died a short time later during treatment at VCU Medical Center.

A date has not been set for Junious’ trial and there was no more information on the “unidentified juvenile codefendant”.
