From the article:

“It seems to have made a pretty significant impact on a lot of people,” said the Rev. Ben Campbell, pastoral director of Richmond Hill, an ecumenical Christian retreat center in Church Hill that organized the program.

The project began last March with a goal of getting 200 area congregations to commit to a year of weekly prayers for the transformation of the region. About 250 made the commitment, Campbell said.

This year, Richmond Hill has mailed out prayer booklets to 1,300 churches in the area, with the goal of deepening the participation of the original churches and expanding overall participation to at least 400.

The second year of the project kicks off today with a 9:15 a.m. service at Richmond Hill, 2209 E. Grace St.
