In What will $222,000 buy?, the RTD looks what is available at the median cost for a single-family home, and cites a couple moving into Church Hill as saying that a “major selling point was a tax abatement allowed by the city for a historic renovation”. The median price of a single-family home in the nationally is $222,000; in Richmond it is $225,500.
TAGGED: real estate
Average-sized, well-done, newly restored houses are selling for $170/$180 in the Fairmount area, with the good new construction going for a little less.
Is that $225K median for the Richmond region or just citywide?
From the article:
There are some condos next door to the city dump selling for under $100,000. Plus you get all the free mulch you want.
Hey, free mulch is a real draw!
if you want your condo to have termites then get the free mulch, otherwise i don’t recomend it
