The City at Night
01/16/2008 7:54 PM by John M
Nighttime panorama of Shockoe and the city skyline as seen from Jefferson Park. The photographer, Tom Gehring, is considering selling copies of the photo. (larger!)
Wow, that’s beautiful!! She should sell it to the Chamber of Commerce.
Jefferson Park has the best view of the City Skyline. Period. Amen. 🙂
Nice picture, but the Jefferson Park view has nothing on the view looking north from south of the James in the Manchester area.
It is very sparkly!
Dave: I live in Manchester, that one’s coming next. 🙂
Katherine: Not a bad idea.
If anyone’s interested in a copy of it, I’m selling them mounted on white matboard at 10″x36″ for $85.
Agree with #3… The City actually looks really cosmopolitan from that view! Maybe the photographer will grab a glittery shot from that location.
How to purchase a copy of this photo.
I’ve seen such things for sale at the Valentine Museum, the State Capitol gift shop, the VMFA and in the James Center (Very Richmond?) I would think any of them would be proud to carry it, it’s a lovely photo.
I have to confess I did download it from here to share with a neighbor, since it’s so pretty. Maybe you should watermark it and repost. I promise not to do anything commercial with it though!
Beautiful — the sparkling captured in the lights make it appear alive – just awesome….
