on the Council agenda for Monday
The agenda for Monday’s City Council meeting has a few items of specific neighborhood interest, including the request for all-way stops on Venable, the installation of telecommunications equipment on 38th Street, waiving setback requirements on 24th Street, and funding the Mechanicsville Turnpike and Mosby Street Hazard Elimination Safety Project.
Ord. No. 2008-18 (Patron: Vice-President McQuinn) – To erect all-way stop signs at the intersections of Twenty-First and Venable Streets, Venable and Jessamine Streets, and Venable and Tulip Streets.
Ord. No. 2008-38 (Patron: Mayor Wilder) – To *** execute a Sublicense Agreement *** to allow Cellco Partnership to install and maintain telecommunications equipment *** at 1201 North 38th Street ***.
Ord. No. 2008-46 (Patron: President Pantele, By Request) – To authorize the special use of *** 814 North 24th Street for the purpose of waiving certain side yard setback requirements for a proposed dwelling ***.
Res. No. 2008-R39 (Patron: Mayor Wilder) – To request the Commonwealth Transportation Board to program the Mechanicsville Turnpike and Mosby Street Hazard Elimination Safety Project and to
authorize the Chief Administrative Officer *** to execute all the necessary agreements *** relating to this project.
Ord. No. 2008-83 (Patron: Mayor Wilder) – To *** accept *** $500,000 from the Virginia Department of Transportation and to appropriate the increase to *** the Department of Public Works *** for the purpose of funding the Mechanicsville Turnpike and Mosby Street Hazard Elimination Safety Project.
City Council meets at 6PM on Monday, March 24th, in City Hall.
Ord. No. 2008-18 was passed by city council by a vote of 9-0 this evening.
