Local website “not that funny”

Local “news site” Church Hill People’s News, in a lame attempt at seasonal humor, posted several half-assed April Fools stories early this morning. “I’ve been spending too much time with middle school kids”, site author Murden said when called on his juvenile prank. [via]
hilarious
We live in such bizarre times. That which has been previously considered “unthinkable,” is now “commonplace.”
Who would have ever thought that we would have a City Council member call Richmond’s CAO a criminal? Or that Hizzoner would “shoot back” with some unfortunate “gun” imagery?
Murden’s entry made me laugh — but, then again, I like “The Onion.”
i adore pranks. thanks.
Come on J.M. give yourself a break … we all need to laugh/have some fun from time-to-time…
Your People’s sites usually carry serious news, stories and info for nine communities in Richmond – sometimes its good to step back and have a minute of fun before climbing back on the old treadmill for another year.
Looking forward to 1 April 09, (Tee-He)!
JJ
Oh yes it was funny!
Since almost no one dares to celebrate April Fools Day, I welcome the humor and cheer it on. On the other hand, why is the church still vacant? Hmmmm.
