Liberty or Death Reenactment

The Patrick Henry Committee invites you to join us for historical reenactments of the Second Virginia Convention of March 1775. In the presence of Washington, Jefferson and other notable Virginians, Patrick Henry delivered his passionate call for liberty, uttering the immortal words “give me liberty or give me death!”

During the first PTA meeting for the summer we will need to:
1. Elect officers
-President
-Treasurer
-Secretary
Committee heads for the following:
2. Recruiting parents,teachers and community members for participation
3. Fundraisers and Corporate Sponsorship
4. Building and updating the Website for better communication between teacher/school and parents
Please bring a lot of ideas, parents and community members to the meeting.

School board candidates forum
The Richmond Crusade for Voters will be holding a candidates forum for the upcoming Richmond School Board elections this Tuesday, July 15th, at 7:00PM. The forum will be held at the Military Retiree’s Club at 2220 Sledd Street (off of Chamberlayne Avenue).

I’m disappointed that the 7th district SB candidates -Bond, Coleman, and Edmonds- didn’t show up to the Crusade for Voters forum.
John, will you be interviewing Coleman and Bond anytime soon? I would like to hear their answers to similar questions you posed to Torey Edmonds and Carletta Wilson.
