A robbery @ 26th and Franklin

A reader sent in overnight this unconfirmed report of a new style of robbery:

My roommates were held up at gunpoint Saturday night at 1:30 or so on their way home from Shockoe Bottom. They were walking and the incident happened on 26th and Franklin. A car pulled up and stopped at the corner, a guy got out and the car kept driving. He walked up on them and held a gun to them and robbed them.

According crime map, there have not been other robberies in the area in a quite a while. It can take 2-7 days for incidents to show up the crime map, as it can take the police a few days to update their online incidents database.
