Hands On Greater Richmond sets day of action
Hands On Greater Richmond is organizing a day of community action on Saturday, October 18th and wants you to “imagine how much better Richmond could be if we all spent just 5 hours doing something together for the community.”
Imagine joining hundreds of other volunteers to make a difference for greater Richmond on Saturday, October 18, 2008. Friends, neighbors, families, and anyone interested in making a difference will transform our community by volunteering at over 30 nonprofits on this one day. Hands On Greater Richmond needs you to make this day successful.
Imagine leading your own entourage of volunteers, ready to make a difference in their community.
Imagine helping individuals realize how much fun volunteerism can be.
Imagine becoming a Project Leader for this Service Day NOW!
It’s simple as 1-2-3!
1. Say yes, you’ll serve as a Service Day Project Leader
2. Attend one of the upcoming Project Leader orientation sessions: Sept. 25th @ 6:00 p.m. or Oct. 4th @ 10:00 a.m.
3. Have fun with your volunteer team on October 18th while making a difference for our community!

I think this is a great idea for our community and I hope we invite Mr. Henery Boschen Jr. (Chesterfield Co) who wrote the article in the RTD, that Chimborazo Park is not what it used to be and needs lots of cleaning/care.
We should invite him and others to help us clean-up, mow and fix up Chimborazo Park.
