James got his scooter back
09/08/2008 8:54 PM by John M
Scoot Richmond has the story about the theft and recovery of a scooter from somewhere up around here:
James, a Church Hill resident, had his vintage orange Vespa stolen a couple of months ago. He parked it one night and woke up the next day to find it gone. He called the cops and resigned himself to the fact that it was probably gone for good. […]
TAGGED: crime
Hooray for James! Sucks that they molested it so badly, though. We were just in PH a night or so ago and it was still not found. Props to Chelsea and co. for protecting those of us who dodge SUVs on a daily basis.
Yea for scooter! I’ve had my car stolen twice and a couple of bikes ripped off too. People suck!!! Glad you got the flaming bullet back.
I have been thinking of purchasing one and this really sucks swamp water what they did. Were any of the removed parts recovered to restore back on his scooter?
Eric
James. I love how you are front page news. We missed you scooting by our apartment.
great story….
The post theft treatment of James’ scooter could have been MUCH worse. Once it’s all situated, I’ll find some before and after photos.
In the meantime, there are some things that scooter owners can do to keep your scooter yours. We can help you sort out locks and what to lock to and all of that stuff. and most importantly, always use common sense, every single night, because the one time you take it for granted your scoot will end up gone.
Umm… did they call the cops?
