car vs house

A hit&run today at Fairmount & 23rd Street put one of the cars up into a porch. Witnesses to the accident report a Kia with 2 girls in it may have been seen leaving the scene.
So did the car win? or was it the house?
Houses and trees *always* win. So do trains. You’d think people would clue in on that…
Oh, don’t get me started on man v. train. When I used to run with the rescue squad in Northern Virginia, we had a call for an “airbag deployment” at an certain intersection. When we arrived, instead of a car, we found a train there. We had to walk about a mile down the tracks to find the remains of the “deployment”. It took the engineer that long to stop. Unfortunately we couldn’t even tell the make/model of the car. Later we learned that some dude was coming home from work around 2am and tried to weave his way around the lowered barriers. He chose poorly.
