Arrest made in 2002 murder

The Richmond Police Department Cold Case Unit has arrested Dominick L. Moon, 29 of the 100 block of Engelside Drive in Henrico County, for the murder of Brenda Hicks on Jan. 6, 2002. Hicks, 37, was shot multiple times in the 1500 block of Rogers Street. Her body was found at approximately 2 a.m.

“Richmond Cold Case Detectives work tirelessly to make certain the victims of violent crimes and their grieving families are not forgotten and that the perpetrators of these crimes are brought to justice,” said Acting Captain Brian Russell.
