richmond.com has a nice long look at Tricycle Gardens:
I visited Lisa at their first garden site in Church Hill along Jefferson Avenue. Immediately after stepping inside the wooden gate I was astonished. At first I could not believe such abundance of life in such a small space. I saw grasshoppers, birds, butterflies and bees among the abundant vegetation including tomatoes, corn, morning glory, avocado and blackberry along with many others.
That’s great. Hey, I would love to know if there was actually avacado, producing fruit or just an avacado plant that’s never produced (which seems to be the case in this zone). Thanks!
Lisa Taranto’s show of ceramic works is up at the Eric Schindler Gallery through November 11th. http://chpn.net/news/2008/10/09/taranto-eric-schindler-gallery/
Lisa is on the cutting edge in “going green,” local economies, and art. She undoubtly one of Richmond’s most brilliant minds.
