Continuing their move away from, like, reporting actual news, the RTD has taken to running MySpace-like polls on their front page. As of right now, the current poll asks “If you had your pick, where in Richmond would you live?” Notice anything hinky about the options?
TAGGED: asshat
Are we a part of downtown now? I kind of feel like we probably are.
WHAT!?!? No Church Hill, No East End? Have we fallen off of the map?
Can someone let these clowns know we exist!
Eric
@Daniel: Tobacco Row maybe, but not where you live 🙂
This confirms what the rest of the city thinks of us. 🙁 We don’t matter or count.
Maybe it is because RT-D thinks that once the baseball stadium goes in, there won’t be a Church Hill …..
WHERE’S CHURCH HILL? I do NOT live downtown! And so far as I’m concerned, Tobacco Row isn’t downtown either, it’s either Shockoe Bottom or Shockoe Slip, most likely slip – or, could be considered ‘along the river, either south or north bank’ which would include parts of Manchester, I guess.
Downtown, in my book, is downtown – such as those apts on Grace Street at 1st, the old Cokesbury Bookstore, anything along Main Street from 14th Street going west.
But hey, what can you expect of a paper that advertises itself as being “for people who need to know STUFF”!
This is a prime example of why the Richmond Times Dispatch Newspaper is on their way out. They are unable to keep up with modern times. The East end is light on traffic and a great place to live.
Typical
Well if you’re not downtown, and you’re not North, South, East, or West, then perhaps you really don’t exist.
Yesh… They do not know what they are missing. I rented a couple of places a month here/a month there about town to get the “feel” of the area when I first moved here. I love this little part of Richmond.
Mea Culpa. This was an unintentional error on the part of inRich.com and is in no way related to the newspaper. We will certainly make ammends, as it was not intentional.
Everybody SHHHHHHH! Let’s keep Church Hill our own 400 year old secret.
