Street Resurfacing Project Schedule includes Whitcomb Street and Jefferson Avenue
03/11/2009 5:10 PM by John M
The City of Richmond Department of Public Works has announced a series of street resurfacing projects to take place between March 16 and April 15, 2009, which include both Jefferson Avenue from Leigh Street to 21st Street and Whitcomb Street from Mecklinburg Street to Mechanicsville Turnpike.
In addition to the 2 local projects, Broad Rock Boulevard from Belt Boulevard to Walmsley Boulevard, Patterson Avenue from Willow Lawn Drive to Three Chopt Road, and Leigh Street from DMV Drive to Boulevard will also be resurfaced
Street paving? IN RICHMOND?!?! This is crazy talk.
Wow. Awesome. I happened to drive Patterson Avenue recently and it is seriously in need of resurfacing. Now, if we could just get Broad Street re-done especially those blocks from about 14th Street heading west past City Hall…
Too bad the money’s there for street paving but not boarding up nuisance buildings, too…
When they resurfaced that chunk of Broad Street, it was a reprieve. If only they’d do the rest! The parts of Cary Street they resurfaced last year was great, too.
Now if only they could do Clay and Marshall Streets, all of it, that would be appreciated.
When are they going to pave S Street?
