body found at 32nd and Marshall

Reports of a body found at the corner of 32nd and Marshall Streets, not much else to go on… [via]
As of now, all I know is that there was a body that was found in a white four-door car. It was a male.
Last night I heard 5, then 4 more bangs around 11:00pm. They sounded like gunshot, but who knows because my neighbors like to set of firecrackers during the night.
My condolences to the victim’s family. The officers would not confirm nor deny if this was a murder or just a timely death.
I wish our community would pull together and continue the great progress of restoring this once great place to live. We should start a neighborhood watch! Or at least call the police when we something out of normal, and come on lets face it there’s always creepy people walking in the allies, or “the church hill boys†running around (For people who don’t know who they are, it’s a group of men wearing I believe RED and call them selves that as a Gang. They were suspects in the shooting victims murder on 25th last year.)

KEEP AND EYE OUT AND PROTECT YOUR FAMILIES AND YOUR SELVES.
The official police statement so far:
The victim was a 58 yr old Henrico resident, no sign of trauma.
So… are we thinking he ODed?
So I guess this doesn’t explain the 2 sets of rapid gunfire I heard near my home on Chimborazo on Wednesday night. Hope this doesn’t mean there is another body waiting to be found in one of the many rundown houses.
From the shooting that I’ve heard over the years, none of the sets of rapid shots have been real shootings. The ones that lead to the police & reporters showing up have been a shot or two, maybe followed by another shot or two.
I spoke to a Homicide detective at the scene. He said that the death investigation did not appear to be “anything out of the ordinary”but they needed to take proper measures to make sure.
My assumption has always been that most rapid fire shots come from people playing with their guns.
