25th Street Roundabout closed on Saturday

The 25th Street Roundabout will be closed on Saturday, April 4, so that the City of Richmond’s grounds management division can perform landscaping and aesthetic improvements at the intersection.
TAGGED: 25th Street
I like the roundabout so far. We’ve only seen one person drive the wrong direction on it and no one paid the price for their screwup. Traffic seems to move pretty well through it.
Looking forward to it being prettier!
Oh happy day… I didn’t think it could get any better!
How could you possibly manage to go the wrong direction?!!!
We saw someone totally ignore the “round” idea and simply turn left from 25th street.
The other day when we were waiting at our yield, a couple in their truck stopped to let us into the circle. I laughed and mouthed to them that I was to yield to them. It was kind of funny.
The plantings look great!
I think the roundabout looks so much more asthetically pleasing than all those lights and wires did.
It looks nice, but they forgot about the tractor trailers that come down that road. You can see the tread marks on the slab already. I hope it doesn’t occur, but I can see the slab of concrete next to the landscaping cracking and becoming an eyesore in due time.
Yeah, I don’t see how a round-about would be easier to navigate than a stoplight intersection.. If you have problems with a stoplight, how will a round-about be less confusing for you? Also, despite not having to wait at a light, you still only go 10 mph (I was honked at/cussed at for going through that slowly as if I’m an idiot for not flooring through there). The road’s not built like Monument w/ a 30 mph speed limit and a lot more space.
