04/24/2009 7:23 PM by John M
Reminder! The next 7th District meeting is Saturday April 24 at 10AM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church Parish Center at 3300 R Street. Hosted by City Council 7th District representative Betty Squire, expected guests include Police Chief Bryan Norwood, Commonwealth Attorney Michael Herring, Sheriff C.T. Woody, and Fire Chief Robert Creecy.
TAGGED: Betty Squire
Is there an agenda?
I think it is important that as many people attend as possible especially south of Broad residents. Betty Squire needs to know we are an involved part of the district that she represents.
Remember the Oakwood Heights vote where Squire decided to defer to McQuinn on making up her mind? She is a placeholder for other people with another agenda. Why bother with Squire, you should still be writing to McQuinn. Watch Squire promise to study the facts and say nothing and then vote and wait for the opportunity that best suits her connections.
There is no north/south divide on Echo Harbor. Most people north of Broad either don’t give a shit or defer to the neighbors that would be more affected. To hear her say that most of the district is in favor of Echo Harbor is a bald-faced lie and indicates either an incredibly deaf ear or a willingness to boldly stick to someone else’ agenda regardless of the facts on the ground.
