The Personality feature in the April 23-25 issue of the Richmond Free Press profiles Jennifer Tillery, 17, of Gilpin Court. Graduating a year early from Armstrong High with a 3.88 GPA, Jennifer was recently awarded the $7,000 2009 Stephen J. Bollinger Memorial Scholarship.
Awesome!!
Congratulations to this young lady!!!!
Congratulations on your early graduation with honors! And those SAT scores -WOW!
Miss Tillery,
I finally had a moment to sit and read the article about you. http://www.richmondfreepress.com/currentPageB.pdf
Congratulations on the recognition for your obvious hard work and natural ability. Very cool!
You should consider setting up relationships at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at GW Med School too – http://gwumc.edu/obgyn/
Make yourself known. It is never too early. I have friends who have gone there. Great school and wonderful environment to excel. You can always call, introduce yourself and ask for an appointment stating that you are planning for your future.
One last suggestion – a OBGYN friend with her own practice commented once, “You know, I learned everything I needed to know about the human body to be a great doctor.” (and she is) “I was never taught me how to run a successful business”. If along your journey you see a class on running a medical practice jump on it!
