More sidewalk repairs coming to the area
07/10/2009 9:30 AM by John M
Beginning Monday and running through mid-November the City of Richmond Department of Public Works crews will be performing sidewalk repair on the 700 block of North 21st Street, 1000 block of 21st Street, 2400 block of Venable Street, and the 1200 block of North 29th Street.
During construction, parking restrictions will be enforced within these blocks. Parking signs will be posted 24 hours prior to work commencing. Crews will only perform work on one area at a time.
In addition, engineers will review sidewalk curbing issues in Church Hill. Handicap ramps will be added and repaired where necessary for ADA compliance.

I LOVE SIDEWALKS!!!!
I’m only kidding. Glad to see the area getting some attention. I do wish they would leave the old / original stone curbing and use bricks that at least LOOK old when they do the refurb though. (Also, in a few places where they’ve done repair, I think they’ve eliminated some of the gutter /storm-water runoff drains?)
They’re doing the 600 block of North 29th, also…
