2009 Summer Reenactment Series

The Patrick Henry Committee invites you to bring your friends and family to a reenactment of the Second Virginia Convention of March 1775. In the presence of Washington, Jefferson, and other notable Virginians, Patrick Henry delivered his passionate call for liberty, uttering the immortal words, “Give me liberty or give me death!”

Tickets are handed out on a first come, first served basis starting at 1:00pm. At 1:30pm, there is a music program on the 1905 Stein organ. The reenactment begins at 2:00pm. These events are free and open to the public. Please call 804-648-5015 for more information.

Books on Wheels @ East End Library

Every Monday-Wednesday in July. Come play chess at the East End Library! Instruction is available for teens, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Use our chess boards and pieces anytime.

In addition to lawn chairs or blankets for seating, we are asking that you bring a dish to coincide with the first letter of your last name:

Dessert: J-M
Side Dish: N-Z

In case of rain, the picnic will be held the following day, July 22nd at 6:30PM.

Movie Night at Powhatan Community Center

Begins @ dark. Pride will be shown July 24 at Fulton’s Powhatan Community Center and Iron Man will be at at Armstrong on August 22. The shows will begin around dark.
