Tricycle Gardens announces First Annual Harvest Dinner, Chimborazo garden

An email from Tricycle Gardens today announced their First Annual Harvest Dinner for Saturday October 3rd, 6-10PM at the Robinson Theater. The message also has details on the new community garden in the works for the Chimborazo Playground Park.

There is so much to celebrate as we come together and acknowledge the hard work of our community members that have helped to bring gardens into the landscape of Richmond, and the future of urban greening, community gardens, and healthy neighborhoods. There is a NEW community garden in the works for the Chimborazo Playground Park in Church Hill. (between 29th & 31st, south of E.Broad St.) The first phase (16 plots) is in partnership with KaBoom! Playgrounds, Home Depot, and The City of Richmond Rec. & Parks Dept. Community workdays are scheduled for Thursday September 3rd and Thursday September 10th.
