I am proud to be nominated, but I have to give props to Tom O’Kelly and his crew for the front portico and the side porches. They really worked hard to capture my vision for the house, including using the original porch columns, which are half-exposed on the side porches. We were fortunate to have a pic from Mary Wingfield Scott’s book, “Old Richmond Neighborhoods” to guide us.
The list was updated today.
6220 Three Chopt Road – Patty & Edward Campbell was added to the list of properties nominated for BEST RESIDENTIAL RENOVATION.
It also appears that 9 S. Harvie Street has been removed from the list.
We are very thrilled to be nominated! I hope there is a true “after” picture, as this one featured is not it. How exciting to have so many fine properties around Richmond being restored, and now being lived in rather than neglected.
