Slave Trail Commission meets Thursday at FRC

The Richmond City Council Slave Trail Commission will meet on Thursday, November 19 from 4-5:30PM at the East End Family Resource Center (2504 Jefferson Avenue). Richmond City Council Slave Trail Commission to meet: Topics include partnership with Smithsonian Museum, Shockoe Bottom and historic markers All citizens are invited and encouraged to attend.
The meeting agenda includes:
- Historic Markers for Richmond Slave Trail and Lumpkin’s Slave Jail
- Unveiling Richmond Slave Trail Markers,
- Richmond Slavery Museum and Genealogy Center
- Landscaping of Lumpkin’s Slave Jail Site
- Status of moving Winfrey’s Cottage
- Partnership with the Smithsonian Museum
- Shockoe Partnership Meetings
