Anybody got anything on this?
do you have any news on a supposed armed robber outside the Blue Wheeler last night, i think between 9-10pm?
I heard that an armed robber dragged someone into the dark alley behind the store and robbed them… but i don’t know anything else…

That’s down by the coliseum, right?
From Lt.Laino: there was a robbery near the Blue Wheeler last night, he is “reviewing the details now” and will send details shortly.
From Lt.Laino:
Here is the information on the robbery that occurred last night at 9:30 pm in the 400 block of N 32nd Street; the noteworthy had the wrong address (400 E Marshall St).
The victim, who is a male that works in the area, had just left the store when he was approached by one male who forced him into the alley. The suspect displayed a handgun and robbed the victim of money. While the victim was being robbed he observed a second individual standing at the beginning of the alley, possibly a look out. The victim was not injured.
Suspect description;
Suspect # 1
A black male approx 6’3” tall, approx 40 years of age, large build, wearing a black leather jacket, black ball cap, blue jeans.
Suspect # 2
A black male approx 5’9” tall, approx 45 years of age, thin build, wearing a brown hooded jacket, blue jean pants.
I heard there was a body of a young nurse found yesterday morning around 8:30 at 29th and Broad. As anyone else heard this? Supposedly died of natural causes.
I’m not surprised. There is foot traffic all over this block. This is supposed to be a nice area but the Blue Wheeler attracts this. I have personally witnessed drug deals on the 400 block especially at 417 N. 32nd street right by the Blue Wheeler. Until the people who live around this area start reporting this stuff, it will never get any better.
It’s called Neighborhood Crime Watch People. Look outside, be vigilent, observe, and report suspicious things and people. Until you do, we will continue to live in thuged up, doped up part of Church Hill.
errr, really Gus? you don’t think we do that? i’ve personally called more times than i can count. Until we get some more police patrol to cruise by an obviously crime-attracting store- it won’t get any better. I like the blue wheeler- it’s clean and the staff are friendly, and it sure comes in handy when you’ve run out of eggs… but the people that hang out outside and harass incoming costumers and neighborhood people need to be put in check, and i think the best way to do this would be to increase the police drive bys… neighborhood watch can only get us so far. i’m always willing to report stuff, but even i’m not home ALL the time
Agreed. Glad to hear you’re trying. Everyone has to do their part. It’s frustrating b/c that is obviously not the case. Two people can’t clean up a whole block or two. We need everyone to help. When these people litter our streets and yards, most people leave it there. I’m not sure most people take pride in living here. Anyway, keep an eye out for the 417 N. 32nd St. house. They are part of the problem. Start reporting any suspicious people you see going in or out of the house.
