Wandering dog on Broad Street

Anybody missing a dog?

We saw him about 2pm and he was running back and forth across Broad St. near St. John’s Church. Several other people who were out tried to help us catch him, but the dog was skittish and kept running away. He was golden brown, possibly a pit bull mix, with a blue collar and maybe also a flea collar but no tags.

He appeared to be friendly (not threatening) but he wasn’t easily approachable. He had no sense about crossing the street because every half block he would dart out in front of cars. We followed him from about Broad and 28th St. all the way down to Broad and 21st when he turned and started running north up 21st. We also called the police to see if they could get animal control to help out because we were concerned about him getting hit. I don’t know if they were successful. It seems like someone out there may be missing this dog.
