CHA newsletters for Nov/Dec and Jan are available
The two most recent Church Hill Association newsletters have been posted online: November/December 2009 and January 2010 , which has word on a special presentation on zoning set for the Jan.19 CHA meeting:
Over the past two years, the City of Richmond’s Department of Community Development has conducted detailed consultations with residents in the portion of Church Hill which has been designated a “Study Area” for the purpose of bringing its zoning into close alignment with the City’s Master Plan. […] Central to them is the creation and implementation of a new zoning classification designated R-8 in a wide area of Church Hill. Ms. Tarisa Moran of the Division of Comprehensive Planning and a contract specialist will explain this to the membership and offer detailed explanations of current recommendations at the January 19 meeting.
The Church Hill Association is looking for a volunteer to edit the newsletter:
Starting immediately the Church Hill Association is in great need of a Newsletter Editor. This volunteer position works with the Advertising Coordinator to produce and edit the neighborhood newsletter each month. The job requires devotion to the Church Hill neighborhood, and the ability to manage a computer publishing program. Design is flexible, but drastic changes require Board approval. If you are interested or have questions, please contact John Whitworth at jbwhitworth@comcast.net as soon as possible.
