ElderHomes remakes a block of 27th Street
01/23/2010 2:15 PM by John M
Just down the street from their 2008 Golden Hammer nominated renovation on the 800 block of North 27th Street, ElderHomes is building 2 new houses and has signed on to renovate 3 more.
Realtor Matt Jarreau sent word on the upcoming renovations:
822, 824, 826 N 27th St were purchased from Va Commonwealth Bank (former owner Oliver Lawrence) by ElderHomes Inc and will be refurbished into 3 bed 1.5 bath houses with about 1,350 Sf and will be available to owner occupants only and will have Tax Abatements. They will be available sometime this summer.

They are doing a fantastic job! Kudos to them and Matt Jarreau.
I’m very pleased. Before I bought in the 800 block of 27th, there were current building permits for the 822-826 houses which never came to fruition. Time to finish this block up…
We are moving forward with a few projects on the 800 and 900 Block of 27th. Actually 812 N 27th was just sold last week. Come April we should have a new neighbor!! Things are moving slow but sure, next year at this time you’ll be really surprised. Also stay tuned for 28th and M St Corridor, so far we’ve got approval to build 7 new construction homes that will be Historically Accurate, 4 facing 28th on the 600 Block, 1 at 2809 M, 2 facing 29th on the 600 block. We are shooting for 4 under construction by this summer/fall.
