Broad Street closed between 25th and 14th Streets

Broad Street east and west bound lanes from 25th Street to 14th Street are now closed to all traffic until further notice. The Boulevard Bridge has also been closed by city officials until further notice. As anticipated, the heavy snow fall along with freezing temperatures is creating hazardous road conditions as snow accumulation rises.
I heard that this has been expanded all the way to 4th and Broad.
Bullwinkle, I heard the same thing – I read it somewhere, possibly on either the Times Dispatch web site or the city site -but I assumed that it was a typo – someone having left off the 1 in 14th.
Here it is Sunday morning, and I can’t find anything on the city’s web site saying this was lifted. Is it still closed?
Someone called me last night and said they’d seen on the news on tv that some station had a reporter at 22nd and Broad watching someone trying to push a car up Broad. I live on Broad near 26th, still haven’t ventured out, but from what I can see out the window it looks like they did some plowing and then put down sand. If that’s all there is on the hill, it’s prob. still bad. Anyone out there have any street clearing news?
I95 and 64 are pretty clear, just the usual wet roads after a snow. Road closed signs are still up at 17th and Broad, but nobody is paying attention to them. The roads in Church Hill are still pretty bad though, and you should probably stay put unless you really have to go out. Unfortunately, I had to get out to go to work, otherwise I would have stayed in another day.
TAH thanks for the update! I’m on call, might have to go to work today. Definitely have to go in tomorrow. How’s Broad Street hill looking – passable, since people are ignoring the signs? And did you by any chance see 25th Street?
Is Broad open now?
