Wanna go look at the lights?

RVA News has named “the park bench at the end of Grace Street” as Richmond’s best make-out spot:
You know the one: perched high atop Church Hill, facing west. This is the single best view in all of Richmond. If Kristen Bell showed up, new to Richmond, and needed a place to make out, this is where I would take her.
Is that bench on Foursquare yet?
If Kristen Bell showed up for a make out session, you might just want to get a room somewhere. A few months ago, my coworker was severely beat up there by some local upstanding-citizens who robbed him and broke into his car.
I remember a couple years ago a couple was beat up there really bad. Is this a regular thing?
is this Radio Hill?
I was taking Cityscapes up there New years Eve to illustrate a story about the Richmond new Years tradition of filling the air will lead and gunsmoke and there were certainly some suspicions cars driving up… moving slow and checking me out.
Of course they could have been couples looking for a isolated place to pitch woo and got freaked out by me.
“Pitch woo”? Love it! I’m going to try to work that into conversation today.
Best part of the view? Velvet search lights, classing it up R-town style.
Nearby, any chance Richmond Hill would ever take down that brick wall and open up the arboretum to the public? Put the park back in Taylors Hill “park”.
