02/04/2010 10:15 AM by John M
Bellevue Elementary School is looking for a few good men, specifically 100 black men from various professions to take part in the school’s annual “Black Men Read” program (PDF). The program operates throughout February as part of the school’s celebration of Black History Month. Along with reading to students, volunteers also will be asked to take part in a career education discussion.
“Black Men Read” will be held each school day in February. A culminating activity will be held February 25. Bellevue Elementary School is located at 2301 East Grace Street. For more details, or to volunteer, contact Anne Harris at 780-4417.
