Sector 113 report for February

Lt.Martin Harrison’s Sector 113 February report (PDF) for all points north of Carrington and Nine Mile is now available and chock full of arresting detail:

Robbery- Individual, B2400 Whitcomb– The victim, stated that he was getting on the bus when he was grabbed from behind, spun around and struck in the head by the suspect. The suspect then pointed a silver handgun at the victim and stated, if you don’t have any money I’ll kill you”.

The suspect searched the victim’s pockets, taking the victims cell phone, itouch and other items. The victim then went to Church’s Chicken and reported the incident. The victim stated that he knew the suspect from school but could not remember his name. The suspect, a 17 year old black male, was later identified and arrested by FMT Officers.

Robbery- Individual, B1600 Rogers Street– The Victim was walking to the Stop and Go Mart, at Mechanicsville Tnpk and Fairfield Ave. The suspects passed the victim going in the opposite direction. Once they passed the victim, the suspects then turned around and followed the victim to the intersection of Roger St and Fairfield Ave. They asked the victim to buy them a beer, but the victim refused. Suspect #1 pulled out a small black revolver and placed it to the victims head, cocking the hammer. Suspect #1 then said “give me all your money”. The victim handed over $22.00, a grey pocket knife, lottery tickets and his wallet. Suspect #2 searched the victim’s pockets. Suspect #1 told the victim to take them to his house and grabbed the victim’s arms. The victim refused, broke free and started running away. A neighbor was watching and called the police. After brief foot pursuits the suspects, both 17 years old, were apprehended and arrested. K9 Officer Agee and his partner responded to the scene, conducted a search and located the firearm under 6 inches of snow.

*** The mother of Suspect #1 responded to the scene and became disorderly trying to get to her son numerous times. She was ordered to leave several times and was eventually arrested for Obstruction and Possession of Heroin.

Lt.Harrison also reports that the First Precinct and Sector 113 lead the city in crime reduction so far 2010, with 17.4% and 33.3% drops respectively. Overall, the city has seen a 3.4% increase over this time last year.
