Sponsor a summer movie in Chimborazo Park

Interested in helping sponsor a move in Chimborazo Park? Let’em know at friendsofchimborazo@gmail.com:
Last summer, Friends of Chimborazo Park was able to partner with Yellow House to put on 4 family movie nights in Chimborazo Park (showing Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Goonies, Money Pit, and Casablanca). We are working on scheduling between 4 and 5 films this year, but in order to make that happen, we need sponsorships to cover the licensing cost of showing these films in a public venue. For older films, licensing tends to run between $150 and $200 depending on the film being shown.
Have you approached the Church Hill Association to sponsor one or two?
How much does it cost to rent the park?
I would love to bring Louis Farrakhan to Libbie Hill or Chimborazo Park. Does any one know the rental cost for these parks? What happened to High on the Hog?
toni, since the park is owned by the city I doubt you would be able to “rent” it per se. As far as the films (above) go, only a small portion of the park is used for that and, to my knowledge, there is no rental fee.
