!The Union Hill, Church Hill Central, Unity, and New Visions civic associations have a neighborhood clean-up set for this Saturday. Trash bags and grabbers will be provided. Come out to one of the 4 meet-up locations to help out:

Union Hill – 10AM @ Jessamine and 23rd Streets
New Visions – 8AM @ Q and 23rd Streets
Church Hill Central – 8AM @ 25th and Nine Mile
Unity – 8AM @ 22nd and X Street

Richmond Earth Day Festival

This year’s Earth Day Celebration promises to be bigger and better than ever! The Richmond Earth Day Celebration is FREE to attend, thanks to the support of several new and returning sponsors. There will be all sorts of environmentally conscious vendors & exhibitors (it’s Earth Day, after all!). The event will also feature many programs for children, sustainable lifestyle workshops, local bands, artwork and exhibits, entertainment and food!

Road to Revolution Sign Unveiling with Governor McDonnell and Public Reenactment

The Patrick Henry Committee invites you to join Governor Robert McDonnell at St. John’s Church for the unveiling of the Road to Revolution sign. Following the unveiling, there will be a reenactment of the Second Virginia Convention of March 1775, when Patrick Henry gave his famous “Liberty or Death” speech.

City Council Formal Meeting

Mon Apr 26 6:00 pm
Every 2nd and 4th Mon – Responsible for deciding official Council action, which includes discussing, adopting, rejecting, and amending laws and approving the budget. Formal meetings include a time for pubic comment and are televised live on the local PBS station and are replayed in Richmond on Government Access Channel 17, beginning at Noon and 7:00 p.m. daily.

Frequency
Typically the second and forth Monday of each month; 6:00-8:30 p.m. (With the exception of August, when no Formal meetings are held, and holidays)

Veggie Bus

The veggie bus will be parked at 25th and Broad on Tuesdays from 10AM untill 2:30PM and then the NRC on Williamsburg Road in Fulton from 3PM until 6PM, and on Wednesdays at 25th and Broad again from 11am till 7pm starting Jan 6th.

We will always be at Libby Hill Park each Thursday from 4-6pm for our CSA drop off.

We have collards kale creasy greens apples potatoes winter squash sausage BBQ chicken eggs milk cheese butter yogurt cider maple syrup apple butterand more so come support local farmers and get healthy goods, too.

Jane’s Walk

Jane’s Walks are “a series of free neighborhood walking tours that helps put people in touch with their environment and with each other, by bridging social and geographic gaps and creating a space for cities to discover themselves” that began in 2007 in Toronto.
The walk will explore the urban vibrancy of the Church Hill neighborhood of Richmond, touching the historic architecture, public spaces, connectivity to neighborhood services and more! Email janeswalkrva@gmail.com to sign up!
