Third shooting in Mosby this week?

The RTD is reporting what appears to be the 3rd shooting in the Mosby area this week:
Capt. Mike Snawder said police were called to the VCU Medical Center emergency room at 2:44 a.m. after someone dropped off an adult male who had been shot once in the upper torso.
I wonder if the explosion noises I heard last night were actually gun shots. It sounded like they were pretty far away and it happened right before midnight. I hear about 5 shots if I recall correctly.
Oh good, someone else heard them too! We counted 8. Far away–sounded like south and west of us, but sound carries funny (we’re on Chimbo park).
