Moving forward on Mosby Street
07/10/2010 9:49 AM by John M
The agenda for the July 12 City Council meeting (PDF) includes a sign of progress at 715 Mosby Street:
Ord. No. 2010-128 (PDF) (Patron: Mayor Jones, By Request) – To authorize the special use of *** 715 Mosby Street for the purpose of constructing a mixed-use building with up to three (3) units for commercial uses and two (2) units for dwelling uses ***.
Previously:
- Mosby Express Market and Deli seeking ABC license (3/24/10)
- Another design for Mosby Street (5/21/09)
- A slice of West Broad on Mosby Street? (5/14/09)
This is not correct. The Planning Commission deferred action until September to allow the applicant to come before the Union Hill Civic Association with their revised plans.
To clarify, the post is correct, in that this *is* on the posted agenda. The agenda is what is incorrect.
The Planning Commission made a recommendation to Council to continue the paper until September. The item is on the Council agenda for tomorrow. Council will have to officially continue the public hearing until September at the meeting tomorrow, which I can’t imagine they wouldn’t do based on the Planning Commission’s recommendation.
the owners of this property are slated to attend and speak at tonight’s Union Hill Civic Assoc meeting at 2201 Venable, 7pm.
I plan on asking why there is a “FOR SALE” sign on the property. I hope to find out if they want to do this development and get a SUP, why is the property on the market?
According to the owner of the property at 715-719 Mosby, the “for sale” signs on Mosby do not apply to any of the lots involved in this project.
